😮i almost chopped my finger off

it’s J’Aime, and a few mornings ago, i woke to find a sweet bird laying on the ground, dead on impact, having flown into a glass wall. 😭

so i decided to create a small cairn for this life, to honor it with reverence.

and i offer that same reverence to you today, as well:

May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and freedom for all.

+ FORTIFY: 21 Day Embodiment Reset doors open Wednesday, May 27th

it’s Stephanie, and last week i was chopping up some fresh, organic salad in my parents’ kitchen and BOOM! the mechanical chop of the knife tip went directly into the pointer finger of my right hand.

💅 it cut through the nail.

☝️it left a hunk of skin just hanging on.

🩸there was a lot of blood.

as i was doubling up the second round of bandaids my dad had just given me (Justin-Thilou and i spend the weekends chez grandma et grandpa), there was a moment where i thought to myself,

« this is deep. i wonder if i will need to go to the ER. »

so i paused. breathed. saw that my blood was coagulating, was extremely grateful for that observation, and felt the answer arrive from within the core of my body:

no. you can help your finger heal without much intervention.

then i asked myself

what is the lesson here?

+ is it about presence? what was it during that moment that moved me away from my embodiment?

+ is it about nervous system regulation and remaining calm while coping with an injury?

+ is it about allowing my father to take care of me now that i am back in this homecoming, literally in the house i grew up in?

the answer i received then was YES to all.

AND…

as i took care of my wound over the next week, and saw how quickly it healed -

+ how the skin of my finger hardened and created a roof of protection over the new fragile skin growing underneath

+ how the pain subsided quickly

+ how it allowed me to use my left hand (my preferred hand) in new ways to support the right

i discovered that it was more about ALLOWING my body to heal itself and for me to become a witness to the nurturing environment i have consciously created over the past year and a half by cleansing my gut biome of sugar, all grains containing gluten, and dairy, and filling it with the plants and fats and the nourishment it craves.

the speed of my body’s healing was EVIDENCE of having created an internal ecosystem that is thriving and of supporting it with love and appreciation (i continue to kiss my finger and say « thank you » out loud to it 🥰).

how did i get here? how did i find that trust? how did i find the spaciousness to allow the necessary - and speedy - healing to transpire?

by fortifying my BODY with nourishing food, yes - AND by

cultivating steady ENERGY,

and setting clear INTENTIONS.

💖 the physical body is the wisest friend i know. every cut, every pain, every tingling, every sensation is its language. it is such a beautiful technology of embodiment, of movement, and of sentience.

🫧 the subtle bodies that exist outside of the physical - your « Radiant Light Bubble » that we call it at the iNCOMING - are another layer of protection and information to help you calibrate to your body in order to bring presence and peace.

✍️ and the practice of setting intentions and crafting language to match the vibration you desire is a powerful tool to focus both your body and your energy together, in harmony.

both J’Aime and i want YOU to feel YOUR own power so you can trust in ALL of you, because that is journey we have been on individually and together.
