today we bring you a story from the iNCOMING founder, J'Aime Burns. a story of heart coherence literally forged in a name… enjoy.

it was never a change; it was an unfolding.

"Jaime" is my given name, and for most of my life it has arrived with a small interruption of perception, a blip of incoherence -

it is read one way, and spoken another, often landing first in its Spanish form where it carries a masculine tone, and then a pause just long enough for recognition to catch up with the female that is actually standing there.

this moment is inevitable, the slight misalignment and quiet humor of it. the sense that my name carries a kind of gentle mischief into every room before I do is a comedy of errors which I most often thoroughly get a giggle from.

I was named after Jaime Sommers, The Bionic Woman.

A 1970s icon.

A super being whose story expanded what a human life could hold.

that detail has always felt less like biography and more like imprint; a marker placed early; a quiet orientation toward possibility; subtle permission suggesting there was more available than what appeared on the surface.

long before I had language for it, something in that name was already at work, shaping the questions beneath my life.

at the time that the iNCOMING was birthed, my dear friend Stephanie was living in France, immersed in language, rhythm, and a different way of speaking the world.

and in that season she began to call me "J’Aime".

J’aime. I love.

the sound was almost identical. the structure changed only with a pause of punctuation, a quickening of the syllable. and with it arrived an opening, as if my name had been holding a second layer all along, waiting for a shift in perspective.

the work I now share through the iNCOMING, is mirror work, an integral part of our YOGA Codes, which by all lenses is a return to self, the gradual remembering of what has always been there beneath everything learned.

what mirror work reveals again and again is simple:

that the return to self is a return to love.

it is not merely an idea, it is the essence. a truth revealed in frequency. it is what remains when everything else falls away.

Jaime and J’Aime began to live in the same field of meaning. one carrying the story of origin, of becoming, of extraordinary possibility encoded early.

the other carrying the translation of it into something fundamental:

I love.

the separation between them is softening, and what remains is not two names but one unfolding truth expressed through different light.

a life learning itself returning always to its center, to balance, to harmony -

to love.
